What is the warranty process?

All claims must be submitted directly via the online Warranty Request Form. Do not return your Shwood product to the store. Dealers are not authorized to provide warranty service on Shwood Eyewear products.

Shwood Eyewear warrants products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Shwood Eyewear reserves the right to determine manufacturing defects, and requires proof of purchase from an authorized Shwood dealer to qualify products as warrantable. If a product is deemed defective, Shwood Eyewear will repair or replace the item at no cost to you. If a product is not considered defective (a scratched lens or user error is not considered defective), Shwood will repair the item at a reasonable charge (between $20 and $40) shipping back to you included.

Where can I purchase a pair of Shwood sunglasses?

Shwood sells direct through our online store, as well as retailers around the globe.  The Shwood online store ships worldwide to over 190 countries.  If you don't see your country on the list, please contact us and we may be able to arrange a special shipment or we can direct you to our nearest authorized retailer.

 

We ship domestic orders fast and securely with USPS Priority mail.  Delivery confirmation is standard with every order, and insurance or signature services are available upon request.  International orders are shipped via USPS Express International which comes standard with tracking and signature services.

Do you offer prescription lenses in Shwood eyewear?

We are working hard to make prescription lenses possible, but we currently do not offer frames that accommodate RX lenses. Shwood’s manufacturing process does not allow for replacement of lenses, therefore we will not sell you glasses without lenses or if you intend to try replacing the lenses.


What is the difference between Polarized and regular lenses?

The standard CR-39 lenses are manufactured by Carl Zeiss and offer superior 100% UVA/UVB sun protection. Polarized lenses offer the increased benefit of glare reduction as well as 100% UVA/UVB protection. The difference can be seen in the Polarized lens’ glare reduction created by the sun's reflection off horizontal planes, such as on the hood of your car, the street, or water. While all of Shwood’s lens offerings are top of the line, Polarized will offer the highest level of safety and comfort.


How should I care for my wood sunglasses?

All Shwood eyewear is treated with Shwood’s secret blend of non-allergenic organic waxes and oils to create a hardened protective finish. This protective coating helps the wood maintain a proper moisture balance needed to prevent drying out and/or cracking, while also helping to repel water. Anytime your glasses begin to look lighter or feel dryer it is recommended that you re-apply this coating to protect them from damage. Regular application should help protect against most cracks and significantly improve the look and durability of the wood.  Recommended coatings include beeswax, lip-balm, butcher block oil, and walnut oil.

For daily care, it is recommended that Shwood eyewear is constantly kept in a safe place. Do not store glasses in your pocket, backpack, hanging from your shirt, etc. If you are not wearing them, keep them in a hard case or safe place.

All Shwood eyewear should be treated as “wearable art.”

We are constantly researching and developing a more durable product.

What is your return policy?

Returns on items purchased directly from Shwood Eyewear’s online shop are eligible for returns within 30 days from the date of shipment. Proof of purchase and original packaging are required for eligibility. Returned items must be in new condition with no signs of use. For more information please contact warranty@shwoodshop.com.

It is encouraged that you send your product by a traceable method. Shwood Eyewear is not responsible for lost or misdirected packages. Products will be returned via USPS Economy service. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. Sorry no refunds on shipping.

Where are my Shwoods? It has been ___ days and I still don't have them!

From time to time an item will be backordered due to the handcrafted nature of our manufacturing process and high order volume. We do our best to keep you updated and informed of this, but please allow 2-4 weeks for your order to be created, then 2-7 business days for your order to ship.
